Lila Hall is going home to Cooperstown for her 85th birthday celebration with friends and family on May 18. A luncheon will be held in her honor at the Otesaga Resort Hotel. Lila grew up in Croton Falls and graduated from high school in 1953. Her senior year quote was: "Nothing great is ever achieved without enthusiasm." Lila married Les Hall in 1957, settled in Fly Creek, had four children and pursued a career in nursing. After a position as school nurse, she worked in the dialysis department of Basset Hospital in Cooperstown and retired from Otsego County Public Health Nursing in 1996. She lives in Gulf Shores, Alabama, with her husband of 62 years and continues to enjoy walking on the beach, reading, puzzles, traveling and eating out!
